The skull, visor and ventail are composed of two welded pieces of metal. The ventail is held in place by a spring loaded button and has 4 notches on the right side. The bevor has a decorated swiveling piece of metal to prop the ventail up. The ventail has a small hinged door on the right side. There is a threaded bolt with wingnut on the ventail which slides into a notch on the neck and face jousting exchange piece which has a leather strap that goes around the neck and two holes at the bottom. At the bottom edge of the helmet is a groove that locks onto a flange on the gorget. The breast plate is stamped with three hearts over an anvil and has three posts with a jousting exchange piece attached. The left elbow cop also has an attached jousting exchange piece. The right gauntlet is a fully articulated finger gauntlet while the left is a mitten gauntlet. The pauldrons have neck guards. The sabatons are plain. There are a few decorative floral brass rivets attaching the leather straps for the tassets. With a large 44 inch long x 1 1/2 inch wide blade two handed sword with large flukes that extend 3 1/2 inches out. The armor is 6 foot tall x 29 inches wide x 26 inches deep. Armor stands on a 6 inch tall x 18 inch wide x 18 inch deep walnut stand. This harness is a fine example of 20th century armor smithed by a master craftsman. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection

Good, there is scattered minor pitting overall with some scattered dings and dents. The left breast plate strap is broken. The sword is very good. The stand is very good with some overall wear.
