Handmade 20th-century Kentucky style rifle signed “H. Reist” on the barrel showing incised carved high quality stock with thick faceted butt plate in classic early style. The lock and barrel show a dark well aged patina with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The barrel measures 42 ¼’ and the rifle is 58” overall. The stock is nicely burled and striped maple stained dark and the quality of the rifle is very good other than the patch box which is somewhat plain and the metal is too thin. Est.: $1000-$2000
