Half stock percussion plains rifle marked with two facing stamps “E. D. Benson” remaining in good to very good condition. The rifle measures 48 ¼” overall with 34” medium weight octagon barrel of approximately .36 caliber rifled. The stock showsartificial striping with a pewter fore end cap. The metal surfaces show some light to moderate pitting and the hammer is not staying on full cock but is complete and needs adjustment. The stock is good to very good with normal wear and minorimperfections. Est.: $500-$1,000
