Half stock heavy barrel plains/target rifle marked C. Keller Evansville, Indiana. The rifle measures 55 ¼” overall with nearly 40” heavy octagon barrel that measures nearly 1 ¼ “ across the flats of the muzzle. The boreis approximately .46 caliber. The rifle shows an oversized Buckhorn type rear sight with a blade front sight. The rear sight has been moved approximately 2” closer to the breech end of the barrel than the original position. The metal surfaces show a dark brown patina with light to slightly heavy scattered pitting and erosion. The heavy pitting is occurring at the firing areas of the breech and onto the hammer. The stock has beenlightly refinished and shows some minor scratches and normal use. The forend cap is pewter. The mounts are brass. The rifle is equipped with double set triggers and the action works well with a good bore. Est.:$600-$1,200.
