Nestled in the heart of the Chilcotin Mountains, you will find an amazing backcountry escape complete with 4-star lodging, trophy mule deer, and incredible fall scenery to boot. BC is well-known for great mule deer hunting. In the past, Anvil Mountain Guiding’s high country alpine mule deer hunt has produced some impressive trophies.
This will be a 10-day, 2:1 spot-and-stalk mule deer hunt. You will hike and ride horses throughout their territory for this adventure. Since some mountain climbing may be required, hunters will need to be in good physical condition and able to shoot out to 300 yards. Licences and tags are not included in this hunt. Field preparation for your trophy and transportation to the local butcher/taxidermist are included.
This is truly a family-run operation, with guide outfitter Steven Hoessl guiding big game hunts through Anvil Mountain Guiding and his parents, Joe and Sabine Hoessl, caring for guests at the Big Creek Lodge. The Hoessls have been helping people escape hectic city lives for nearly four decades, starting first with small country cabins and eventually crafting a beautiful guest lodge with BC white cedar logs. Accommodations at the Big Creek Lodge and spike camps are included. Shuttle transportation ($75 US per person) from Williams Lake to Big Creek lodge, licenses, tags, HPF and pre hunt hotel accommodations are not included.
