P.08 LUGER SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Parabellum. S# 9974x. Bbl 4". P.08 Luger manufactured by Mauser in 1941. The receiver is stamped "41" over the chamber, with Mauser Eagle/655 waffenamts followed by an eagle firing proof stamped on the right. Toggle bears Mauser's "byf" manufacturer code. Right side of frame is light scratched "DLD" and "1-1-61". Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered black plastic grips. Blued magazine with black plastic bottom. All numbers are matching and include the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, safety bar & lever, hold-open latch, receiver, trigger bar, barrel, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, as well as the toggles. MAGS: 2 8 rnd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: high quality wood display case featuring a red velvet interior and containing 1 spare black plastic bottom magazine, as well as a loading tool. CONDITION: metal components retain the vast majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some spots of mild thinning and wear that show through to pleasant gray and brown patinas, with some mild surface oxidation on the grip straps, and a few scattered spots of mild freckling overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate amounts of light surface pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered nicks and marks to the diamonds, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Case exhibits some mild exterior wear, but is otherwise fine.
