H & P conversion of flintlock musket to percussion with rifle sights and update for Civil War dated 1861 at the breech. The metal surfaces show a light gray patina with some minor erosion and scattered pinprick pitting. The lock shows goodEagle, U.S. with Springfield and 1831. A period bayonet and ramrod are included. The rifling is good. The stock is also very good with two clear cartouches, some minor dings, mars and just normal aging. The action works well. An above averageexample of an early Civil War issued arm. Est.: $1400-$2800
