Greene’s Patent breech loading single shot underhammer percussion rifle, .53 cal., 36” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, full length wood stock, #NVSN. This gun is in overall fine uncleaned condition showingeven plum brown patina mixed with traces of original blue on metal surfaces and muted original case colors on the ring style hammer; fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings on upper tang, bright originalfinish on lower tang and on rear barrel band; wood is overall very good to fine with some minor scattered old mars from storage; approx. 4,000 manufactured by the A.H. Waters Armory between 1859 and 1862; hard-to-findin any condition and this is a nice one! Est.: $3,500-$7,000.
