Great old Gold Rush era pair of leather pommel holsters with U.S. single shot percussion pistol by H. Aston dated 1851 on the lockplate. The Aston is in overall good condition with a crisp action, good markings and good wood stock showinga partial inspector’s cartouche on the left side above the trigger assembly; under barrel rammer missing. The pommel holsters are in fair to good condition for their age showing the usual scuffing, wear, etc. from use; there are remnantsof an original Wells Fargo & Co. Express orange shipping label on one of the holsters with inked stamping as being shipped from OROVILLE, CAL. (in the Gold Country of California). (Antique). Est.: $300-$600.
