Great lot of John Wayne related mementos with Certificate of Authenticity from the Tom Kane Estate. Tom Kane was a long-time personal friend and business associate of Wayne’s and assisted in the production of many of the Duke’s motion pictures. This lot includes John Wayne’s movie script from the movie “Mc Q”, Tom Kane’s coffee mug from the set of “Mc Q” given him by Wayne, a photo of John Wayne from the late 1960s near his home in Newport Beach, CA, a framed color photo of his boat, the “Wild Goose”, a publicity photo dated 1937, several magazines about Wayne including an original copy of the 1972 Life Magazine with Wayne on the cover. Additionally, this lot includes a Zippo lighter in its original box inscribed “Mc Q” on one side and “Stolen From John Wayne” on the other side. The Duke had a habit of providing these lighters to colleagues and friends on the sets of many of his motion pictures. Also included is a letter send to Wayne by the Harvard Lampoon to come for a debate and a copy of Wayne’s response to the challenge. Personal effects from one of the movie’s greatest early stars. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance.
