This is an early 19th century Great Lakes Native American Indian carved burl wood pipe. The piece shows a long wood stem with original bark and rich patina with the end having a turned burl or knot elbow with carved tobacco pipe bowl. The end does not show a through hole, but the collector believes the end to have been pushed closed from age and be carved through. Very unique interesting early pipe showing overall good condition. Measures overall 34.75"L with a 4 5/8"H x 2.25"W bowl having a 1" opening.
