Good quality percussion single shot pistol circa approx. 1850’s to 60’s, showing cast Brittania alloy frame. Signed “Hobbins & Martin” on breech with London markings and British proofs. The pistol is approx. .41caliber and shows a 5-3/8” medium weight octagon barrel with under-mounted rib and ramrod on capture swivel. The stock is nicely checkered, there is a cap box in the butt and the frame mounts are scroll engraved.There is a wide silver band on the breech. The condition is very good with just slight erosion beginning on the barrel. The stocks show just minor handling. There is some good original finish and some patterning on thebarrel. Just the type of pistol imported to America slightly before the Civil War. Est: $500 - $1,000
