A very light greenish glass of a nude male on an acid etched frosted base, signed in the front in an unusual manner, es R. Anotra or possibly A. Amotra. 14 1/2" tall including the square base, 5 1/2" wide and 6 1/2" deep. The bearded man is shown with his head down turned, the spine of his back is very visible, his right arm is fully formed and in classical sculpture form, his left shoulder is missing the arm and no feet are at the end of his legs intentionally. This is a very rich, fluid glass color and is a subject matter that causes the viewer to stop and wonder what has this man's thoughts. The nude is tasteful and could be displayed anywhere. The base cube that this is attached to has beveled sides, one back corner has a chip that could be repaired but is about 1/4" tall at the corner. I can not find anything on the artist, the figure is said to have been purchased in Chicago.
