Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
Navajo silversmith Gilbert Tom created this beautiful triangle shape 1/4 hoop earring with a simple sterling back topped with a turquoise, coral, Opal, jet and/or onyx inlay. Hoop height is approximately 23 mm, triangle is approximately 4 mm at top and 10 mm at the bottom, earrings weigh approximately 2.5 g each, making a total combined weight of 5 g. Both earrings are stamped Gilbert Tom, sterling.
