Noted Western artist Andy Thomas entitled "Russell Paints a Masterpiece". Hand signed lower right hand corner, limited edition number 44/300. Image measures 20"x30" issued in 2013. Featured on the cover of Western Art Collecter's Magazine March 2013. Includes book "The West in Action, Western and Historical Art" by Andy Thomas, hand signed by the author. In rustic wood frame. Also includes "CM Russell Log Studio" book put out by the CM Russell Museum on page 10 there is a black and white photo of Russell that was used as a model for this print. Includes certificate of authenticity Somerset Fine Art Publisher with edition specifications. Andy Thomas of Carthage, Missouri is dedicated to the Trans-Mississippi Civil War series in which he is depicting battles West of the Mississippi River. These have been, for the most part, undocumented by today's artists. Thomas has painted scenes from The Battle of Pea Ridge and Prarie Grove both of Arkansas. In Missouri to date he has completed scenes of Carthage, Wilson's Creek, Westport and Marshall as well as the great Cavalry Charge of Mine Creek Kansas. In addition to the Tran-Mississippi battles he has also painted the Guns of Vicksburg and The Sinking of the CSS Alabama.
