Germanic Flintlock Horseman’s pistol, circa 1760-1790 converted to percussion in the mid 19th century. The pistol measures 19-1/4” overall with 12-3/4” Damascus pattern barrel approx. 52 caliber smooth bore. The stockshows raised carving around wrist and mounts with good quality molding. The mounts are plain brass, condition is very good plus overall with nice wood showing just a few scratches, normal aging. The pistol retainsa horn tipped ramrod that matches the fore end cap well.
