German Prewar combination over/under rifle shotgun or Cape gun signed “Leim and Honstetter Berlin Wilmersdorf”. The arm is finely engraved in traditional German motifs showing young buck and doe on left surrounded by flowing scrolls, large stag and doe on right. The gun measures 41-1/2” overall with 25-1/2” barrels, 16ga full choke over 7x56 rimmed. The gun shows cocking indicators, set trigger on rifle barrel, claw mounts withlater postwar Tradewinds 1.5-4x scope, made in West Germany. The mounts are fitted for this arm. The combination is nicely stocked in select walnut with straight buttstock, no pistol grip, and shows a cartridge trapinlaid into the stock that is nicely engraved with gold overlaid initials “MC”. The stock is good with some wear to the checkering but generally very good. An old hardrubber recoil pad has been added. The stock measures 14”to the end of the wood, 14-1/2” to the end of the pad.
