German P.38 with single line model and maker designation AC 45. This Walther remains in original very good plus condition showing 90% to 95% original blue with a light surface coating of fresh rust that may clean. There is some minorloss of finish at the muzzle and high points from holster. The grips are very good plus to near fine. The markings and edges are sharp and crisp and the bore is very good plus and may clean to excellent. The frame is numbered 496C. The slideis numbered 3785C and the barrel is numbered 45C. The right rear of slide shows a single Waffen proof with 359. One of the very last ditch Walthers probably when the Nazis were not paying attention to matching numbers. No clip isincluded. Probably obtained by Mr. Hope on USO tour in Europe. A certificate of authenticity stating that this exact pistol is from the estate of legendary performer Bob Hope is included.
