German Nazi era drilling by J.P. Sauer in aluminum case intended for survival purposes by pilot of downed German aircraft. The gun is in 12 gauge over 9.3X74R and is serial # 334733. The barrel group measures 25-1/2"approx 43" overall. The barrel shows 90-95% original blue and frame retains 85-95% bright and colorful case hardening. The stocks are very good plus to near fine with sharp checkering some dings, mars and scratches.The bores are fine to excellent. A modern recoil pad has been added and the stock measures almost 14" to the end of the wood indicating slight to no reduction of wood and restorable by adding Sauer butt plate. Theright side of the barrel at the breech shows a large Luftwaffe style eagle and swastika and the right side of the butt stock shows similar large stamp in the wood. The gun is also fitted with a side safety, cockingindicators and flip up sight lever on tang which also engages the rifle barrel. The front trigger shows a set screw for adjusting pull when using rifle. The drilling shows mounts for claw type scope which is missing.
