"E. TRIEBEL AUGSBURG" inlaid in silver on the top barrel flat with a pair of silver inlaid bands at the breech. Pin front sight with side protectors and adjustable notch rear sight with provisions for a tang sight (which is missing). 26 1/4 inch long barrel with 7 1/4 inches being operational. The underside of the barrel towards the muzzle has a filled large dovetail slot (where the loading lever assembly attaches, but is now missing). Floral scroll engraved hammer, lock, upper tang, buttplate tang, and ornate trigger guard. Rifle has double set triggers and a hooked buttplate. Half stock has checkering on the wrist and a raised cheekpiece.

Condition: Fair and incomplete. The rifle has a mottled brown patina with some very minor spotting on the barrel. The revarnished stock is fair with a long crack on the left flat and a couple large chips missing from around the lock plate, with some minor dings, pressure dents and scratches.
