Gambler is a 11 y/o AQHA registered grulla gelding with Doc Bar and Chex influence. Brains & Handle. This gelding has been a trail horse most his life in BC. He's kind, gentle with excellent conformation. He has a nice wither - saddle stays where its meant too. He stands patient for tacking up and getting on. He's likely 14'3 (will be sticked before sale) and is a nice size for swinging a leg over. Sure footed and agile. In the winter he came to me for some exposure and cattle work. He was quite nervous, quite looky but always very willing. Never bolted or bucked but was cautious of new things. He found the large amount of cattle down the feed alley extremely daunting but really enjoyed cutting, sorting and moving them. He wants to be brave and confident but its taken some time. He would do great with an experienced/confident rider of any age. One that will take on a leadership role with soft hands and patience so he can trust. He moves out nice and has a good handle. He's smooth, loves seeing new country and really a pleasure to have around if you don't mind him looking at a few things on the ground. Having said that he is not at all scared of feed trucks, excavators, quads or skid steers and our dogs follows us on the trails. I have tremendous respect for Gambler - he has shown up in very unfamiliar territory with so much heart and try. I am willing to keep him in training for buyer if this is something of value to you. Besides that he will be solid and honest as a trail mount/adventure partner for many years to come.
