Stamped on the bottom W. Gale & Son 925 Sterling New York, likely to be Civil War era or very close to it, Greek Key design around the base and rim of the oval shaped tureen, applied handles, applied and tight handle in the center of the top, this could easily be handmade. Old monogram of LVVS for Lottie Van Vleck Smith, 9" long by 7" tall to the top of the handle.

Be forewarned, UPS charges extra to deliver to residences , and now with fuel charges up, surcharges are in effect. If is not possible to quote an exact rate until the item or items are boxed and weighed, or dimensional weight is determined.
