1) RICHARDS BELGIAN SXS HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 15936. Bbl. 30 1/8". SxS shotgun mfg. in Belgium. The sides of the receiver are engraved "RICHARD", with floral scroll engraving overall. The top of the bbls. is marked "BELGIUM STEEL BARRELS" over the rib, with Belgian proofs present on the underside of the bbls. and on the water table. Round knob buttstock and splinter forend are embellished with double line wide checkered panels that feature pins in each of the diamonds. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bbls., and forend iron. Bead front sight is no longer present. CONDITION: receiver exhibits a gray patina, with areas of age related discoloration overall. Bbls. retain traces of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with scattered spots of surface oxidation overall. Bores are bright, exhibiting scattered spots of mild to moderate pitting. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. (23-5635/MLW). 2) IVER JOHNSON HERCULES SXS SHOTGUN. Cal 12 GA. S# 2413. Bbl. 27 7/8". Hercules SxS shotgun mfg. by Iver Johnson. The bbl. rib is marked "IVER JOHNSON" followed by the model and patent information, with Iver Johnson's mfg. information marked on the left side of the receiver. Receiver exhibits a case color hardened finish, with the bbls. exhibiting a blued finish. Round knob wood buttstock and forend have been sanded, oiled, and re-checkered at one time. Matching numbers are present on the receiver, bbls., forend, and forend iron. Brass bead front sight has been ground down. CONDITION: receiver retains fair amounts of its original case color hardened finish, exhibiting wear, thinning, discoloration, and scattered spots of pitting overall. Bbls. retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning, with scattered spots of oxidation and pitting overall. Mirror bores, with the left bore exhibiting several dings. Wood furniture is good as sanded and revarnished, exhibiting several scattered dings and marks overall. Buttstock exhibits a repaired crack on the underside of the knob, with a split present on the underside of the forend. Buttplate exhibits a loss at the toe. (23-5699/MLW). 3) W.H. HAMILTONSXS HAMMER SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 GA. S# 6448. Bbl. 30 1/8". SxS hammer shotgun mfg. in Belgium. The left lockplate is marked "W.H. HAMILTON". Underside of bbls. and water table exhibit Belgian proofs. Metal components exhibit a dark gray patina. Checkered wood round knob buttstock and forend appear to have been lightly sanded and revarnished at one time. Front sight has been replaced with a screw. CONDITION: metal components exhibit a dark gray patina, with pitting and surface oxidation present overall. Bright bores, exhibiting moderate pitting throughout.
