This is an original G.C. (Gerry) Wentworth wax sculpture titled "Mexican Water Cart". Gerry Wentworth was a Great Falls, Montana artist who grew up in the era just after Charles Russell's life. He was largely self taught and spent the majority of his life working in painting, sculpture and wood carving. Wentworth's works have been widely exhibited in such places as the C.M. Russell Show, the Phippen Art Show and the Frank Tenney Johnson Show. In 1981, he won Best of Show at the Northwest Americana Art Show. This piece shows a depiction of a Mexican with his donkey and water cart. It shows wonderful detail and artistic ability. The wax sculpture is in good condition. It comes with an authentication of the piece that gives right to the purchaser to have the piece cast. Also included is a printed biography of the artist. The piece measures 7.5" x 13" and is 10.25" tall.
