French model 1886/R35 bolt action carbine in 8mm Lebel caliber with Tula arsenal marking and “AEG” stamp on the breech end of the barrel and also “SACM 1937” mark on the right side of breech. The carbine shows a black enamel type painted finishwith many scratches and a heavy coating of dried oil. The stock is well marked and in good condition with storage scratches and normal aging. A leather sling is included. The carbine is numbered 491996 on major visible parts. The action is good and the bore is at least very good but coated with oil and grease. The type used by paratroopers and French forces during World War II and Vietnam. Est.: $100-$300
