French Powder-tester with center-hammer flintlock design, early 19th century styling, measures 6-1/2” overall, hand-engraved numerals on wheel with bottom spring. Pistol type wood grips. Good quality throughout.Shows two brass braised repairs, good condition, a couple of minor stress cracks in wood. The design is quite ingenious in the fact that the maker could utilize the design of a centerhammer flintlock pistol and addthe mechanism easily. Good to very good condition, some minor surface erosion, pinprick pitting, generally very good overall. No maker’s marks. From the Keith Coulter collection. Est: $500 - $1,000
