From the period of King Louis Philippe, 1830-1845. Cardboard barrel covered with blue cloth and on each side is placed a scarlet cord, at the top a scarlet woven wool braid, bottom band, and chinstrap in leather. Round visor in black patent leather Tricolor cockade. Pattern 1845 Brass plate stamped in relief of globe surrounded by wreath, and topped with crown, center of globe has cut out with the number one, with "Legion Etrangere". These plates alone are very expensive. Double red wool pompom. Interior headdress in black sheepskin cut into wolf teeth. Two brass vents.
