Produced circa 1770, with no fixed sights on the barrel, which has a duck-bill style oval muzzle, measuring 1 1/2" wide, and only 3/4" tall. No maker's marks are visible on the loc kplate, which is fitted with a sliding half-cock safety and a roller frizzen spring. Smooth stock, with a hardwood ramrod, acorn shaped trigger guard finial, raised scroll carving around the tang, silver wire scroll on the wrist and a metal buttcap.

Condition: Good, with a mixed gray patina overall, scattered spotting and mild handling marks overall. The revarnished stock shows a few mild cracks and dings overall, concentrated on the tip, with chipping at the lock and a patch of repaired wood next to the buttcap. Mechanically fine.
