Francotte Arms company Liege Belgium marked 12 gauge side-by-side shotgun, early knockabout model with 27 ½ inch barrels, choked modified and full serial number 17468. The barrel’s measure 27 ½ inches and the gun is 44 inches over all. The stock measures 14 3/8 inches from the front trigger to the end of the wood with a 2 ½ inch drop at heal and 2 inch drop at toe with no cast. The gun shows a Greener type crossbolt with standardextractors and double triggers. The metal surfaces retained 80% to 90% original blue on barrel’s with about 60% to 70% thinning blue on action. The metal surfaces are very good with some slight scratches and justbeginning normal aging. The gun has been nicely restocked in checkered walnut with thick horn checkered butt plate. The action is tight and the bores are very bright. The gun is choked for full 2 ¾ inch loads.Estimate $1,000-$2,000.
