Framed wood and glass “shadowbox” display of six pointed badge marked “Inspector Port of Entry (State of New Mexico) and a basketweave leather holster with small enameled brass “Immigration Service” badge attached, bothhaving belonged to legendary Western lawman Jeff Milton per documents accompanying this lot; also framed in the display is a photo copy of Milton in his later years; both badges are in overall good condition and theholster is also good. Documentation accompanying this lot, consigned by a respected longtime collector of Western historical items, includes a copy of a letter from noted author/historian/collector, thelate George Virgines, dated Nov. 11, 2008, indicating Virgines obtained both badges from Pima County, Arizona Deputy Sheriff Joe Berume around 1962; Berume was a well-known badge collector who displayed his collectionat many police activities as well as at County and State Fairs.
