1) Bardou & Son telescope, black leather outer jacket, blackened brass construction, maximum length 37 1/2 inches, collapses to 10 1/4, inscribed "Bardou & Son Paris/Rifle Range Telescope/Power 33 times". With rear shutter and leather caps. 2) Evion telescope, blackened silver construction with leather wrap, expands to 42", collapses to 12 1/2, marked "EVION/PARIS" on one section. With hinged cap. 3) Telescope, polished brass with black leather wrap. 4) Hammersley telescope, brass with brown leather around the main body, 50 1/2 inches open, marked "J. HAMMERSLEY/MAKER/41 HALF MOON CRESCENT/ISLINGTON/LONDON", with end caps and carrying strap. 5) Binoculars, black enameled brass with black leather body wrap, marked "THE CAMP/BINOCULAR" on the bridge, "J.H.STEWARD/OPTICIAN" and "406 STRAND/LONDON" on the eyepieces. With sliding sunguards, under which is inscribed "PRESENTED BY/J.H. STEWARD/N.R.A. OPTICIAN/406.STRAND.LONDON" and "TO THE/MASSACHUSETTS RIFLE ASSOCIATION/ Won by/O.M. JEWELL,/1882". With a brown leather case with shoulder strap.
