Forged steel and powder tester with brass wheel showing needle-hands and fancy engraved decorations. Central European manufacture. Mid to late 17th century. The tester measures approx. 10-1/2” from end to end, 3-1/4”across the diameter of the brass wheel. The steel surfaces show some light to slightly heavy pitting and a dark patina.
