Flintlock powder tester, early 19th century, v-spring type, closely resembling flintlock pistol. The condition is good with some light to moderate scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The grips are good with some evenwear. Central European manufacture, probably French or Belgian. Circa approx. 1800. The graduations are nicely hand-engraved. There are no other markings. The maker simply used a flintlock pistol design and added thespring and power tester mechanism. Measures approx. 10” from end to end. From the Keith Coulter collection. Est: $700 - $1,400
