Flintlock center hammer single shot pistol signed “Twigg, London” circa late 18th to early 19th century. The pistol measures 8 ¾” overall with approximately 3 ½” octagon shape turn-off barrel of approximately .45 caliber false rifled. The metal surfaces show a light gray patina with some scattered erosion and minor pinprick pitting. The flintlock parts are all original. The stocks are good to very good with one small chip at the butt area by the German silver butt cap. The owners plate inlaid at top of wrist shows fancy engraved initials R. M. Est.: $600-$1,200.
