Flintlock Blunderbuss signed “H.Nock, London” with registration numbers EC-184 stamped on barrel. The gun measures 39-1/2” overall with flared 24” brass barrel which measures approx 1-5/8” across the center with approx1-1/4” bore. The gun shows some light to moderate pitting on lock and tang with good clear signature and all original small parts. The brass barrel and mount s show an even patina and the butt plate is period blockletter engraved “General-Post Office”. There is a hole drilled thru the butt plate into the stock which we assume is for a rod extension of some sort which is missing and an original rod is included with broken endwhich may have used this extension. The stock is in very good condition with some minor dents and marks and is at least very good overall. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$2,000-$4,000.
