Flintlock Blunderbuss carbine with under-mounted flip bayonet, half stocked, brass barrel and mounts, signed Wheeler, circa about 1810-1830. The gun measures 29" overall with 3-stage cast brass cannon- typebarrel with flared muzzle which measures almost 1-1/4" across the bore. The brass barrel is sharp and shows a nice patina; the lock and hammer show some strong case hardening drifting to patina, with nocleaning. The stocks are good to very good with a small re-glued in piece at the toe, which is the original wood put back. The rod and bayonet are original and the spring flips the bayonet quickly. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
