First model Schofield revolver, .45 caliber, blue finish, wood grips, serial #2602 with U.S. markings and “LP” inspections on bottom of barrel lug. The grips have been refinished and show no cartouche. The revolver showsapprox. 60-70% original blue drifting on the edges and cylinder with some storage type scratches and normal aging. The hammer and triggerguard show considerable case hardening drifting to patina. The latch and springalso show bright finish. The small parts and screws show bright blue. The action is super tight, the bore near mint. An exceptional 1st model American that would improve tremendously with better grips. Cylindershows matching number and “L” inspection.
