First model Schofield revolver, .45 caliber, 7” barrel, old reblued finish, wood grips, serial number 965. The revolver shows 50-70% of an old reblued finish with good address on left lug and just slightly light patentdates on right lug. The grips are good with some even wear at the edges, some small dings, marks, scratches. An old coating of oil or varnish was applied long ago and never sanded. There is a “63” military type stampon left bottom grip. The action is tight, bore is very good plus to near fine. The cylinder number is matching and is its full original dimensions. There is an “L P” stamp on the bottom of the lug. Est: $2,000 -4000
