Manufactured in 1900, the accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, caliber, barrel length, blue finish with the grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 of 16 to Simmons Hardware Company, St. Louis, Missouri on October 31, 1900. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side "41 COLT", and the left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three patent dates followed by the circled Rampant Colt. Casehardened frame and hammer, blue remaining parts and fitted with smooth two-piece ivory grips.

Condition: Very good. The revolver retains 30% plus original thin blue finish mixed with smooth gray patina. The frame retains 25% original case colors, mainly in the protected areas with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The period non-factory replacement grips are fine with numerous age cracks on the bottoms and a few on the left panel, and showing a pleasant age patina. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
