According to the included factory letter, this revolver was part of a group shipped to the Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri on May 27, 1912, as part of a 40-arm order. The grips are "Not Listed", with other features matching. Fixed sights, with the two line address on top of the barrel, "45 COLT" on the left, and the 2 line/3 date patent marking on the frame next to the circled Rampant Colt. Matching numbers on the frame and grip straps, "478" on the loading gate. Two piece checkered grips with Rampant Colt logos.

Condition: Partially refinished, with cold blue, concentrated on the left side of the barrel, with a mixed artificial brown and gray patina overall. The ejector rod head is a replacement. A mixed brown and gray patina is present on the frame. Grips are good, slightly oversized with mild wear. Mechanically very good.
