Finely woven tapestry showing the Sudetenland with sentimental inscription “Sudetenland Dankt seinem Fuhrer” (Sudetenland thanks his Fuhrer). The tapestry measures approx. 48”h by 58”w, not including fringe. The tapestryis signed by Henriette Penka on the lower front and reverse. The condition is very good to near fine and shows only slight aging and fraying. A hand written letter states ‘I Steve Pendelton son and heir to GlenPendelton’ attest that this tapestry was taken by his father from Hitler’s retreat along with other artifacts from Hitler and Goering. Signed and dated October 5th, 1980. It may be possible to further research theweaver and presentation of this historic World War II artifact. Est: $9,000 - $18,000
