Finely made miniature dagger with gold or gold gilted hilt showing Russian eagle and small red gemstone with Jade blade. The dagger measures 6-1/8”, the blade measures 3-5/8”. The quality is very good and isprobably gold or gold gilt over silver as it tests gold. These small daggers were often used as letter openers by royalty, but this blade was also deadly if used correctly. An antique piece, not a modern reproduction,which shows no hallmarks, just a slight crease or compression to the hollow handle which is very soft (probably 18kt gold) otherwise fine condition.
