Finely made half scale miniature Thompson submachine gun (non-firing) but fully functioning with full markings in miniature including model 1928 number 7012 and Colt simulated markings on bottom of frame. Theminiature measures 12 ½” overall and shows even detailed markings on cutts compensator and on the barrel with full patent dates and Auto Ordnance markings on reverse. The fully functioning miniature is not a firearm as isthere is no chamber and is made to operate with non-firing dummy rounds. The case contains a 50 round size and 100 round size dummy drum magazine with stick magazines and slide off butt stock and cartridge block. All cased in velvet lined violin case of the 1920s era. This miniature was designed by and re-made for old-time Southern California collector Frank Andrina who was a prominent artist working in the cartoon field. Mr.Andrina spared no expense, time or effort to create this display model for his collection. Many different gunsmiths and workmen were used in an effort that took a few years to complete.
