Manufactured circa 1835. The lock plate and breech plug are marked "DERINGER / PHILADELA". A finely executed floral scroll engraving is present on the trigger guard, fish sculpted hammer, lock plate, upper tang and breech plug. Stock has a checkered bird head grip with German silver barrel wedge escutcheons, stock inlays, forend cap and trigger guard. Complete with a ramrod.

Condition: Very good. The barrel and action have a smooth gray patina and there is some pin point pitting (more prevalent on the barrel). The German silver is fine. The stock is good with most of the refinished varnish remaining, numerous minor handling marks and a series of notches around the lock plate, with the checkering remaining crisp overall. Mechanically fine.
