Fine quality and very unusual cased pinfire single action revolver marked “F. Y. Raur, Brevette” on the barrel showing similar styling to Wesson and Levitt Dragoon revolver with a large and unusual feature of the hammer traveling through the top of the frame piercing hole to strike the pin primer. The frame is nicely engraved to match the mounts in floral motifs. The revolver is stocked in select burl Walnut of a light color. The barrel and the top of frame are bright fired blued andthe condition is fine to near excellent showing high quality throughout. Each side of the frame shows a removable plate and to manufacture this complicated mechanism would be extremely expensive which made its production impractical. There is a safety mounted on the top of the frame. The condition is fine to excellent with 80% to 90% bright original blue on the barrel and top of the frame. The bright metal cylinder, frame and action show just a small amount of staining and are also near excellent condition. The grips are fine to excellent. The subject pistol is contained within a red velveteen lined French style fitted case which is in very good condition showing just some minor fading, darkening and normal age. The pistol
