Fine Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle
Manufactured in 1890, this particular example is a Third Model with the distinctive integral dust cover rail. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/King's Improvement patent dates ahead of the rear sight, "32 W.C.F." at the breech and "32 CAL." on the bottom of the brass cartridge elevator. The model designation is marked on the upper tang and the serial number on the lower tang. Silver blade front sight and adjustable rear buckhorn sight. Full magazine, all blue finish with casehardened hammer and lever, and mounted with a smooth forearm with iron end cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 95% original finish with some thinning, high edge wear and some mild spotting toward the breech end. The magazine has a smooth brown patina and several minor scratches. The receiver retains 90% original thinning finish showing some smooth plum patina, high edge wear and a few minor scratches. The hammer sides show much of the fading original case colors and the lever, and buttplate have a smooth dark patina. The wood is also very good with overall scattered minor dents and dings. Crisp and clear markings. The action is good.
