Fine. The barrel retains 75% original blue finish with light oxidation and some minor edge wear on the octagon portion. The remaining metal surfaces have a smooth mottled brown patina with strong traces of original blue finish in protected areas. There are a few moderate dents on the cylinder, as well as a small amount of flash pitting. The wood is very fine with almost all of the original varnish remaining and showing and couple of splinters absent along the cleaning rod canal and some minor dings and dents, The markings are clear. The action is fine. The bayonet is in the white and remains bright with some scattered small areas of discoloration and some minor pitting on the socket.
