Fine Black Powder Colt Single Action Army Frontier Six Shooter Revolver

Manufactured in 1893, before Colt initiated the transition from the "black powder" frame, with its signature cylinder pin screw lock to the "transitional" frame, with the spring-loaded traverse latch used through the end of First Generation production. Fixed sights, with "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" roll stamped on the left side of the barrel, the two-line address on top, and the two-line/three-date patent dates on the frame next to the uncircled Rampant Colt. Matching numbers on the frame and gripstraps, "M" on the front cylinder face and "207" on the loading gate. Fitted with a pair of checkered grips with Rampant Colt imprints at the tops.

Very fine with 60% plus of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina and scattered handling marks. A gray patina is showing on the gripstraps and high edges, with mild dings on the front sight and bright lines around the exterior of the cylinder. 50% original case colors are present on the frame, silvering on the high points. Grips are fine, with 3 small notches on the left side of the butt, and some minor flat spots and dents. Mechanically excellent.
