Ken Ottinger artist entitled "Kachina Maker". Number 14 of 25. Beautifully hand colored on oak base. Signed by artist in bronze. 12.5"x13"x13" Purchased for $4300 in 1996 from Exposures Gallery of the West in Sedona, AZ. Ken was born July 8th 1945 in Greenville, SC. In the 1960's he earned his BFA at the Arts Center College in Los Angeles, Ca. and entered into the commercial art field and became very successful as illustrator for the Motor Trend Magazine, Universal Studios, LA County Sherriffs Dept and the US Air Force Documentary Art Program. Sometime afterwards he was in the L A Society of Illustrators and became a board member of that organization. He has won several awards and was also a teacher at the Art Center College of Design in L.A. In late 70s he moved to Sedona, AZ and many examples of his work can be found in ads in Southwest magazine. Also has many affiliations to books, magazine ads and collectors all over the world. This colored patina formula on bronze took 3 years of experimenting to develop. Included in his very best works.
