Extremely Rare Stevens 41 Caliber Derringer Pistol

Estimate: $2000 - 4000
This is an example of an especially rare model of a Stevens pistol, with fewer than 100 believed to have been manufactured circa 1875. The barrel is fitted with a German silver blade front sight with a sight notch on top of the hammer. The upper left barrel flat is marked with the two line Chicopee address/Sept. 6, 1864 patent date (note that most of the observed pistols lack maker markings). The serial number "100" is stamped on the left side of the frame under the grip and the number "1621" is stamped on the barrel. The brass bird head frame has a circular side plate and smooth rosewood grips.

Even though the condition is not there, this is an extremely rare variation of a Stevens pistol!
